Fluffy is doing much better - this morning she has her spring back. She looks ridiculous with a large padded wrap around her neck - then a silver cylinder-like contraption over that - then one of Ryan's long sleeved shirts to protect it all over that. The shirt says 'Rookie of the Year' on it. She prances because the long sleeves make her think that she can't bend her front legs. But she is doing much much better.
The sun yesterday was wonderful - attended Ben's baseball game - texted Vanessa numerous times as she attened a San Francisco Giants game - took a drive with Gordy and kids...then home to a Kitten search...
We get home - and Jasper definetely looks like she has already 'given birth' but is still pregnant. The only problem is - where are the kittens. We search the house 2x - then get on our hands and knees and crawl around again to listen for the little mew-mews of kittens somewhere. Jasper is sitting in the living room - like - 'No big thing, I'm just hanging out, why are you all looking at me?'
I had a basket with a sheet in it in the laundry room downstairs - Jasper likes it down there - Ben went to get it - then HE heard the mew-mews. They were up the wall - in the crawl space - like 5 feet up the wall - I have no idea how Jasper ever got up there!!! But there were 3 little baby kittens - still wet. We put them in the basket - put Jasper in the basket. Jasper promptly put one in her mouth and began to go to the crawl space again. So in the end - we put Jasper, basket, kittens in my bathroom - in the closet for her to relax and continue.
In the end - we have 6 kittens - all too cute. It really was the weekend that the ANIMALS TOOK OVER. :)

Fluffy
Fluffy recently had puppies - 6 of them...all very very very cute. Thank goodness they are all gone to good homes - because I was becoming attached to them...naming them - noticing their different personalities.
So the last 2 left on Monday. For this past week - Fluffy has been spending her days in the outside kennel while we are at work and some nights as Gordy is shampooing carpets...his favorite past - time...truly.
The kennel is a former corral - with sheep fence added after 'Houdini Coheed' lived here. But today - it was a bad deal.
The weather was WONDERFUL today. I know that no one wanted to be inside for a moment - we decided to go to Lakeside after work and eat somewhere that served supper outside. I stopped at home - Kimmie changed her pants, Joe his shirt, I loaded Lady as I thought we might stop at the lake and took garbage out of the truck - to the garbage cans by the kennel. I saw Fluffy - said hi to her and left.
We had a wonderful supper at Tamarack - by Stoner Creek - brought back old memories of a 'old slower Lakeside.' Ben and Kimmie played by the creek - supper and dessert..then a lazy ride home.
At home - I stop in to see Jesse in 'the little house' and tell Kimmie to let Fluffy out of the kennel. Fluffy runs to me - in the little house - we shoo her outside - the door is shut - Kimmie is outside and has a horrified look on her face. She says that Fluffy has blood around her neck. I pick her up - her neck is sliced wide open - it was terrible terrible terrible. It was a 4 - 5 inch cut - very deep into her neck. I show Gordy - take her in the house - attempt to call my friend Kathy - who knows the new Lakeside vet - only I can't dial the phone - first I call the school - then I miss numbers - finally I dial her number right - it was nightmarish. Get the number for the vet - she's in Eureka and asks me questions regarding Fluffy's gums and condition.
I load Fluffy up and take her to Kathy to have her look at her to see if we can wait til the vet gets back from Eureka or need to call someone else. Kathy and her friend can't believe that Fluffy has survived - they state it looks like a horror movie. Kathy talks to the vet - we are going to wait - Fluffy is appearing okay - at times trying to scratch her neck and laying down - with her neck stretched out.
2 hours later - the vet is back in Lakeside - we all meet - 10 p.m. on a Friday night. The vet is in awe that Fluffy survived the wound - it appears to have missed her jugular and arteries - narrowly and they also say - it looks like a horror movie.
Now I am feeling like I should have Ryan with me - Fluffy is technically his dog and he would want to be with her. Fluffy's heart rate is low - they give her medicine for it - check her blood - all is good - she is sedated - then put under for surgery...to fix her wound. The surgery was to take about 45 minutes...
That was an hour and 1/2 ago...still waiting...
I FEEL TERRIBLE FOR FLUFFY...MY HEART IS SICK.

~Happy Mother's Day ~ Fran and Lisa ~

My 2 beautiful daughters in law...Lisa and Francis. I have for years prayed weekly for my children's spouses - even before they had met them. God has answered those prayers fully for my sons Guy and Aaron.
I have always taught my sons that their wives are their queen. My sons jobs are to love and honor their wives - every day. I am so grateful that God chose them wives that are fitting to be called BLESSED.
FRAN ~ THE MOTHER OF BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTERS

Guy was always teased that 'he had no game'...how he ended up with a beautiful, patient, humorous woman like Fran - only God knows :) I see now that He had planned all along for these 2 to meet and have beautiful daughters and journey their lives together. When I think of Guy and Francis - so far away in Portland - I am comforted every day that they run a happy, healthy, humorous home that loves and honors Jesus.

~Fran...PROVERBS 31:~
10 A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.
10 Mujer hacendosa, ¿quién la hallará? Su valor supera en mucho al de las joyas.
11 Her husband has full confidence in her
and lacks nothing of value.
11 En ella confía el corazón de su marido, Y no carecerá de ganancias.
12 She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.
12 Ella le trae bien y no mal Todos los días de su vida.
25 She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.
25 Fuerza y dignidad son su vestidura, Y sonríe al futuro.
26 She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
26 Abre su boca con sabiduría, Y hay enseñanza de bondad en su lengua.
27 She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
27 Ella vigila la marcha de su casa, Y no come el pan de la ociosidad.
28 Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
28 Sus hijos se levantan y la llaman bienaventurada, También su marido, y la alaba diciendo:
29 "Many women do noble things,
but you surpass them all."
29 "Muchas mujeres han obrado con nobleza, Pero tú las superas a todas."

Lisa: A blessing upon blessing.
After everything Aaron has gone through - no one complements Aaron better then Lisa. Again - as God does - he allows us to go through our 'muck' - then turn our lives to where He would have us - and fully gives us the desires of our hearts. Aaron and Lisa both attended weddings...but each time - were in the WRONG POSITIONS. It wasn't until their 'muck' played out - that they 'found' each other again and began together - the life God had intended. Lisa is so patient and clear thinking and puts up with Aaron's sense of humor the way only a devoted wife can.

Words cannot express how much I love and appreciate Francis and Lisa - Happy Mother's Day - today and everyday. Giselle, Andrea, Azalea, Gwendolyn and Aden are very very very very blessed children :)

Michael Jackson

So - What a difference a week makes...I was giving a really cool chick my idea of a CD that would soundtrack the Conference...it featured a Michael Jackson montage...after I sent off my choices - I thought of 'You Are Not Alone' - but did not forward it to her. She made this hysterical CD...it's permenantly in my computer
THEN:
Changes come - I usually hate hate hate and avoid change. But Change has a way of saying - 'Hello? I am not going away - you have to pay attention to this.'
My oldest sons have both spoken. I really value their input and love them more than my heart can ever express. My response to both of them has been - God will be glorified - when He wants to change MY PATH - He will show me.
Today is the National Day of Prayer. I began it praying and at the end of my day - sat at my desk and opened my 'Ending Your Day Right' Devotional by Joyce Meyer.
Wowowowowowowow - God is glorious. And I thought that the timely anonymous donation today in the mailbox that stated: 'A Donation To Help In Your Work' was God's affirmation...but then I opened this book with His words in it. This is what it said:
MAY 1 ~ YOU ARE NOT ALONE
Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he...(has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love and kindness - trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him). Psalm 91:14
God wants you to know you are not alone, satan wants you to believe you are all alone, but you are not. He wants you to believe no one understands how you feel, but that is not true.
In addition to God being with you, many believers know how you feel and understand what you are experiencing mentally and emotionally.
As God's child, you can claim His wonderful promises. No matter what you are facing or how lonely you may feel, know that you are not alone.
As you meditate on God tonight, draw strength and encouragement from knowing He is always faithful and He will never forsake you.
Wowowowowow
